On these occasions the authors have provided one example of a sentence as a model with the understanding that your students will write their own original sentences.

    p.57 Unit 10, Level 3, Q1 - the second part of the instruction is to be deleted: 'Then state where you would find the others, such as near or in a particular ocean or sea.'

    p.64 Unit 11, Level 1, Q3 - the instructions are to be changed to the following: Underline the word from the four columns on the right that does not match the word from the thesaurus list in bold type. (You may need to use a dictionary to check definitions.)
    - The first column of words also needs to be bold and the fifth column of words needs to be unbolded.

    p. 92 Unit 15, Level 1, Q2a - the instruction needs to be changed to: What facts in the material enable you to deduce that Aboriginal people first arrived in Australia about 40 000 years ago? (changed from 'Aborigines')


    p.135 Unit 20, Level 3, Q1a - the instructions need to be changed to: In the Medecins Sans Frontieres advertisement, what ideas are suggested by the list of six nationalities followed by question marks and the word 'human' in a different colour?

    p. 135 Unit 20, Level 3, Q1c - change the instructions to read: How does the final appeal, 'Donate without prejudice', reinforce the earlier message about helping people 'regardless of race, religion or political conviction'?
